The Famous Oregon Trail brought a group from Tennessee to modern day McMinnville in 1844. In 1855 William T Newby named it McMinnville after his hometown in Tennessee. Like most cities in Yamhill County the wine industry revived this small college town. McMinnville now boasts one of the best main streets in American. 3rd street is lined with Shops, Restaurants, bars, tasting rooms. Come spend a day wondering and unwinding.
